Nitrex Heat Treating Services Poland: Pioneering Aerospace Heat Treatment Advancements

Nitrex Heat Treating Services Poland leads the way in aerospace heat treatment and technologies, having forged pivotal agreements within the Polish aerospace industry that endorse the use of Nano™-S technology for surface hardening a diverse range of stainless-steel aerospace components.  These partnerships meet the critical demand for enhancing the strength and wear resistance in mission-critical aerospace components.

While stainless steel boasts inherent corrosion protection, it typically lacks high strength and wear resistance. Nano™-S technology bridges this gap by strengthening the wear characteristics of stainless-steel components, ensuring their reliability in demanding aerospace applications.

The process involves diffusing nitrogen and/or carbon into the steel’s surface, creating the S-Phase—a new phase structure that yields exceptional hardness. Notably, the controlled Nano-S™ process prevents the formation of chromium nitrides/carbides, preserving corrosion inhibiting properties. Resulting in a ductile hardened layer up to 25 μm deep (0.001″), this treatment ensures both toughness and resilience. Achieved at temperatures below 500°C (932°F), Nano-S™ minimizes distortion, eliminating the need for final machining.
